c. shortening
c. peanut butter
c. brown sugar
c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
tsp. baking soda
tsp. baking powder
tsp. salt
c. orange juice

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, peanut butter, and sugars; beat in the egg. Add dry ingredients alternately with orange juice. Chill until firm. Drop spoons of chilled dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, 3" apart. Flatten criss-cross with a fork dipped in flour. Bake at 375 for 12 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
