1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1-2/3 cup flour (plain)
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup milk
1 lemon rind, grated

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter with sugar. Creaming. Add eggs one at a time, beat well. Combine flour and other dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture alternate with milk. Stir in walnuts and lemon rind. Pour batter into greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan. Bake at 350º for 55 minutes. Cool before removing from pan. Glaze when cool.

Glaze:
Glaze with juice of 1 lemon mixed with 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
