2 large onions
2 lbs. ground beef
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 T. basil
2 T. oregano
2 T. parsley
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup bread crumbs
1 cup grated parmesan
1 tsp. red pepper flakes

Peel the onions and cut them in half. Separate the onions into matching pieces.
In a bowl, mix together all the remaining ingredients. Fill two sides of an onion layer with the meat mixture, then press together. Repeat.

Wrap onion bombs with foil (2 to 4 per packet).

To cook, place them on the hot coals of campfire for 20-30 minutes, flip over and cook for another 20-30 minutes. Total cooking time will depend on the size of your bombs and temperature of the coals.
