1 cup butter - melted
3 cups granulated sugar
6 large eggs
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
2 deep dish 9-inch unbaked pie shells (for best results use the Flaky Pie Shell recipe)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, flour, buttermilk and water into a medium mixing bowl and beat well
2. Stir in vanilla and lemon juice and mix well
3. Pour filling evenly into raw pastry shells
4. Bake at 350º for 50 minutes or until firm
5. Cool pies before slicing
