¼ C vinegar
½ C water
2 T sugar
1 T prepared mustard
1 medium onion, sliced
½ tsp pepper
1½ tsp salt
¼ tsp red pepper
1 thick slice of lemon
¼ C butter or oleo
Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then turn to simmer for 20 minutes. Add ½ C ketchup, 2 T worcestershire sauce and 1½ tsp of liquid smoke.

Heat to boiling. Add garlic powder, paprika, oregano, chili powder, clove and bay leaf to taste.
