2/3 cup shortening
1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1-1/2 cups flour
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 cup chocolate chips

Cream shortening, brown sugar, water, and vanilla.
Beat in 2 eggs.
In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients.
Gradually add dry ingredients to creamed mixture until just blended.
Add chocolate chips.
Drop by heaping tsp. on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 9 minutes.
Leave on sheet for 2 minutes, then remove.
Cookies will be moist when removed from oven.
Do not over bake.
