1/2 cup brown sugar
2 T unbleached all purpose flour
3 T unsalted butter
1 1/4 cup real maple syrup
1/2 tsp salt
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp real vanilla
1 cup walnuts( pecans are a great substitute with maple syrup )

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In saucepan combine first 5 ingredients: sugar, flour, butter, syrup and salt. Cook on medium temp until butter melts then put on melt setting. Mix 3 eggs and vanilla mixer speed medium. Lay 1/2 cup walnuts in uncooked pie crust. Combine egg mix with syrup mix and add 1/3 cup walnuts. Pour into pie crust and put the resy of the walnuts on top. Bake for 40 mins . Top with whip cream or ice cream if you like
