Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This recipe, as written was passed down through the generations from Grandma Eula Wax Achord to her daughter, Betty Francis Achord Thompson (my Mom), to me, then to my children, and now to my grandchildren. Neither Grandma Eula nor Mom would make this cake anytime other than Christmas. Grandma Eula would call and say “I made my Christmas Cake,ya’ll come get a piece”, and we went. After Grandma went to be with the Lord, my Mom took on the tradition. She would make the cake only once a year and we would all be sure to go visit so we could have a slice.
