½ cup plus 1 T sugar
1 ¾ T cornstarch
1 pint fresh blueberries
Pinch of salt
1 tsp lemon juice, fresh


Directions:
Directions:
Pastry filling is thicker then pie filling.
In a small bowl blend together cornstarch and sugar and set aside.
In a medium saucepan, combine the blueberries, salt and lemon juice. Toss berries with sugar mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly (gently), until the berries release their juices and the mixture comes to a boil. Boil for about 30 seconds, until thickened (the mixture should be thick). Transfer to a bowl and cool completely and then refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes
