4c. thinly sliced apples
3/4c. walnuts
1 1/2c. sugar - plus to taste
1tsp. cinnamon
1 egg
1/2c. whole milk
1c. melted butter
1c. plain flour
1tsp. baking powder
1/4tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Place apples in a 2qt buttered dish.
Sprinkle and mix with 1/2c. sugar and cinnamon.
Beat egg and milk.
Add butter to egg mixture with the dry ingredients and remaining sugar.
Stir until smooth.
Pour over apples.
Sprinkle with nuts.
Bake at 325 for 55 minutes.
Serve with ice cream.
