2 Steaks (strip, rib eye, or filet)
Sea salt
Pepper
Cooking oil
Butter
Garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
Set steaks out on counter and allow to come to room temperature approximately 30 minutes.
Rub steaks with sea salt and pepper.
Heat cast iron skillet until very hot and add oil.
Using tongs place steaks in the skillet and cook for 3 minutes on each side or until browned.
Reduce heat to medium-low and continue cooking for another 1 1/2 to 2 minutes.
Remove steaks from pan, put on plate and place a Tablespoon of butter, or garlic butter, on each steak.
Allow to stand for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

Because the skillet must be extremely hot, it is important that you turn the vent hood on in order to prevent the smoke alarm from going off!
