5 apples
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup milk
1/2 tbsp cornstarch
pinch of salt
1/2 to 1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cut apples in quarters
Make syrup from sugar and water. When syrup is boiling, add apples.
Cover and boil until apples are tender.
Remove apples with strainer
Place them in sherbet glasses
In another pan mix milk and cornstarch.
Stir and cook until mixture reaches boiling point
Than add syrup which apples were cooked and boil a few minutes
Add salt, butter and vanilla
Pour sauce over the apples

Serve warm or cold
