Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Shell:

1 Box Puff Pastry,
defrosted & unrolled
flour
3/4" diameter dowel rods

Filling:

8 oz cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
6 tablespoons butter
1 - 1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º

Unroll defrosted puff pastry to reveal 3 sections of dough. Place on floured surface. Cut each section across the dough to make 4 strips from each perforated section, about 1/2" wide for each strip. Wrap strip of dough around a 3/4" dowel rod, overlapping each row. Two or three cookies may fit on each stick, allowing 1 inch between each. Place sticks on parchment-lined cookie sheet. Bake about 15 minutes. Cool slightly before trying to remove from rod. Cool completely before filling.

For filling, combine cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar and almond extract until smooth. Fill pastry bag and pipe filling into pastry shells. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.

Personal Notes:
Lisa always brings these for Christmas. They're a little difficult, but very good. You'll need to double or triple the filling. Store in refrigerator.
