1½ c. butter

2 c. packed brown sugar

½ c. granulated sugar

2 eggs

3 tsp. vanilla

3 c. flour

2 c. quick cooking oats

2 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp.salt

1 (12 oz. ) package chocolate chips

2 c. walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Cream butter and sugars together. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients until mix well.

Drop by rounded tablespoons, 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheet.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375º
