2 1/4 cups flour
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. water
1/4 cup molasses
2 tbsp. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.

Combine flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Set aside

In large bowl, cream together butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy.Beat in egg then stir in the water and molasses.

Shape dough into walnut sized balls.
Roll in sugar.
Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten slightly

Bake 8-10 minutes.
Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes befre moving to wire rack.
