1-3/4 (3-1/2) cups flour
1/2 (1) tsp baking powder
1/2 (1) tsp salt
3/4 (1-1/2) cups butter softened- 3 sticks
2/3 (1-1/3) cup sugar
1 (2) large eggs
1 (2) TSP. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350*
Combine dry ingredients, in another bowl mix butter and sugar until fluffy then add other liquids. slowly add dry ingredients Scoop into 1- inch balls. Press thumbprint into balls and fill with jam. Cook about 12-14 minutes until edges are golden brown.
