(5) 2-1/2 cups sifted flour
(2) 1 tsp. baking soda
(2) 1 tsp. baking powder
(1) 1/2 tsp salt

(1) 1/2 cup shortening crisco
(3) 1-1/2 cups sugar
(2) 1 tsp vanilla
(1) 1/2 cup milk
(4) 2 eggs

(1) 1/2 cup boiling water
(1) 1/2 cup cocoa


Filling
(7-1/2) 2-1/2 tbsp. flour
(1-1/2) 1/2 cup milk

(1-1/2) 1/2 cup shortening
(1-1/2) 1/2 cup sugar
(2-1/4) 3/4 tsp vanilla
dash salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add vanilla, eggs, and milk, set aside.
Sift together flour, soda, baking powder, and salt.
Add sifted ingredient to cream shortening mixture and then add cocoa and water, which has been mixed thoroughly. Drop by tsp on greased cookie sheet. Bake 400* for about 8 minutes for small and 9-10 minutes for large cookies, then fill with cream.


Filling
put flour and milk into sauce pan and stirring constantly cook over a low heat until a thick paste and cool add
shortening, vanilla, sugar, and dash of salt. beat until light and fluffy. the more you mix the more filling you get.
