1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 brown sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 egg
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
7 ounces chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, both sugars and peanut butter until fluffy. Add the egg and beat well, Add dry ingredients and mix just until blended, This is a rich dough and can be tricky to roll out, so chill for 30 minutes. Flour your surface and roll out to an oblong shape. Melt the chocolate and let cool. Spread the chocolate to almost the edge of the dough. Roll up the dough the long way and wrap in wax paper. Chill for a few hours, cut as thick as you like and bake. Watch these close as they will all of a sudden bake quick. This was my grandma Laura Plegue MIller,s recipe. Dates back to 1940,s.

Bake at 375º for about 12 minutes.
