1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. maraschino cherry halves
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 13x9" pan. Place all ingredients except nuts, cherries and chips in a large mixing bowl. Blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping brown constantly. Beat 3 minutes on high speed, scraping bowl occasionally. Fold in remaining ingredients. Pour into pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
