1 c. shortening
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. M&M's
2 eggs
1 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Blend shortening and sugars. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Sift remaining dry ingredients together; add to sugar and egg mixture. Mix well. Stir in 1/2 cup of M&M's and nuts (reserve remaining for decorating tops). Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Decorate tops of cookies with remaining candy and nuts. Bake at 375º for 10 minutes.

Billie's Mom from Peoples Cable in Florida gave me this recipe. He Mom made these and she brought them to a party we had at work. They were so good I asked her for the recipe.
