1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbs. water
1/4 c. light corn syrup
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, corn syrup and water in a sauce pan. Cover, heat to a rolling boil over medium heat. Uncover; boil rapidly until candy thermometer shows 242 degrees or until small amount of mixture dropped into very cold water forms a firm ball that holds its shape until pressed. As mixture boils beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Pour hot syrup very slowly in a thin stream into egg white; beating constantly on medium speed. Add vanilla. Beat on high until stiff peaks form. Will frost a 8" or 9" layer cake or 9x13.
