3 lbs. boneless beef chuck
2 tsp. salt
3 T. butter
1 T. paprika
3 cups thinly sliced onions
1 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Cut meat into 1 1/2 inch cubes. Melt butter in heavy kettle, add onions and cook slightly. Season meat with salt and paprika and add. Cook uncovered 30 minutes until liquid cooks down, stirring occasionally. Add water, cover and cook slowly 1 1/2 hours until tender.
 

Spaetzle


Ingredients:

3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
Dash of nutmeg and paprika
4 eggs
3/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour and spices together. Add eggs and milk. Beat well until thick and smooth. Cut off small pieces with spoon dipped in hot water and drop in boiling water. Cook 5 minutes. Combine meat and spaetzle to serve.
