1 tbsp. peanut oil
Handful of baby Brussels sprouts, or baby bok Choy or Swiss chard
1 Quart organic chicken stock
3 cloves garlic smashed and chopped fine
Tsp. of dried chopped onion
Tbsp. of dried chopped Asian garlic
12 wasabi shumai from Asian grocer in Portsmouth
Drop of hot sesame oil
Dash Chinese mirin or sherry
Handful organic cherry tomatoes
2 chopped shallots
3 chopped scallions
Handful chopped cilantro

Directions:
Heat peanut oil, sauté garlic, shallots, scallions and Brussels sprouts on medium high for several minutes until Brussels sprouts are slightly tender. Add cherry tomatoes and sauté a few minutes longer. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil then add shumai dumplings and reduce heat to simmer. Simmer until Brussels sprouts are just crisp tender and then add dash sherry, dried garlic and onion and chopped cilantro.

I developed this soup one year after visiting Charlie, a great chef, who took me to his favorite Asian market where they make these amazing wasabi dumplings!
