1 cup sifted flour
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
2 T water
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups uncooked oats
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together the flour, soda and salt into a bowl. Add shortening, sugars, egg, water and vanilla. Beat until smooth, about 2 minutes. Fold in rolled oats, choc chips and pecans. Drop from a tsp onto greased cookie sheet and bake in a 375 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes or til done.
