4 cups chicken broth
3 (15.5 ounce) cans small white beans, rinsed
1 sprig fresh rosemary
2 bay leaves
salt and pepper
4 slices bacon, chopped fine
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion minced
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoon minced parsley

Directions:
Directions:
1. Bring broth, bans, rosemary, bay leaves, and 1/2 teaspoon salt to boil, covered, in a large saucepan and set aside.

2. Meanwhile cook bacon and oil in a large Dutch oven or pot over medium-high heat until fat starts to render, about 2 minutes. Stir in onion and 1/4 teaspoon salt and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and slightly browned, about 8 minutes.

3. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Stir in broth mixture, scraping up any brown bits. bring to a simmer and cook until beans are fully tender and flavors have melded, 15 minutes.

4. Stir in parsley. Off heat remove bay leaves and rosemary sprig and season with salt and pepper to taste.
