Cherry Pineapple Pita Recipe

4 cups flour
1-1/2 tsp salt
2 T sugar
3/4 lb oleo
3 egg yolks
5 T milk
2 cans pie filling
1/4 cup nuts
1 T cinnamon
1/4 cup sugar
Egg whites

Sift dry ingredients. Add butter and work as for pie crust. Combine egg yolks and milk and add to flour mixture to form dough. Chill. Roll 2/3 of dough to fit pan. Put filling each end.

Roll rest of dough and cut into 3/4 inch strips. Brush top with slightly beaten egg whites. sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, nuts over top.

Bake 1/2 hour at 425.
