3 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
3 cups sifted flour
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs. Add flour and milk alternately to butter and sugar mixture. Beat until smooth, add vanilla. Bake in floured 9" pans at 350 degrees until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
