12 to 18 bananas
1 box vanilla wafers
1½ cup sugar
4 tablespoons rounded, flour
6 eggs, (save 4 egg whites)
4 cups milk
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Place vanilla wafers and sliced bananas in a large Pyrex dish, alternating layers until dish is full. Set aside. In a double boiler place remaining pudding ingredients and stir constantly until it begins to thicken. Remove from heat and slowly pour over bananas and wafers.


TOPPING:
4 egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup sugar

Place egg whites in a small mixing bowl and beat till peaks, add sugar and vanilla. Beat until mixed. Pour on top of pudding, make peaks. Place in preheated oven at 400 degrees. Bake until golden brown. Pudding may be served warm or cold.
