2 cups flour sifted
1 tbsp sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup lard or butter

1 beaten egg
2/3 cup milk

Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º
Sift together dry ingredients - cut in shortening - combine egg and milk, beat with fork - knead gently about 20 strokes with heel of hand - pat out to 3/4 " - cut - place on cookie sheet - bake 10-14 minutes (Can be refrigerated 1-3 hours)
