4 ripe yellow pears
1 c sugar
1/4 c brandy
2 egg yolks
1/2 tsp salt
2 squares (1 oz each) unsweetened chocolate
1/4 c milk
whipped cream
mint leaves

Directions:
Directions:
Core pears leaving stems on. Cut thin slice off bottom of each stem so the pears will stand up straight. Peel and set each on a separate plate. In small bowl mix sugar, brandy, egg yolks and salt. Combine chocolate and milk in a 2 c measuring cup. Place cup in saucepan with 1" of hot water over low heat. Do not boil. Stir constantly until chocolate is melted. Slowly stir sugar mixture into melted chocolate until slightly thickened, about 5 min. Pour chocolate sauce over the pears. Refrigerate until serving time. To serve spoon whipped cream around pears and add mint leaf to garnish top.
