1 Cup (2 sticks) Margarine or Butter, softened
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1 1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
!/2 Teaspoon Salt (optional)
3 Cups Quaker Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked
1 Cup Raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat margarine and sugar with a mixer until creamy. Add eggs andvanilla, beat well. Combine four, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in a separate bowl . Add margarine mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats and raisins with a spoon and mix well. Drop by tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet. Remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Store in airtight container.
