1 large container spinach (or 2 small bags)
2 small cans mandarin oranges, drained (can use fresh strawberries instead)
1/2 to 1 c. pecans





Dressing: (make ahead to allow time for the sugar to dissolve and dressing to be chilled)
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. white vinegar
1 c. salad oil (vegetable or canola)
1 tsp.salt
1 tsp. dry mustard (can use spicy brown mustard)
(can add a small amount of juice drained from oranges)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine spinach, oranges and pecans in large bowl.


Dressing: Combine all ingredients. Use fork or whisk to stir until sugar dissolves. Pour into a container with a lid and shake until ingredients combine.
Chill and pour over whole or individual salads immediately prior to serving.
