For double crust pie or two single pies (8, 9, 10 inch pies or 6 to 8 tart shells)
2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
5 to 7 tbsp. ice water

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour and salt together; cut in shortening with pastry blender (or fork) till pieces are the size of small peas. Sprinkle 1 tbsp. of ice water over flour mixture, and repeat till all the flour mixture is moistened and can be formed into a ball. Divide dough and roll each half on floured board to fit pie plate.
