1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Dash salt
2 tbsp. milk
1 c. pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter. Add vanilla and eggs. Sift together dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt) and add alternately with milk. Fold in pecans. Pour into buttered and floured 8x10 inch pan. Bake at 350º for about 30 minutes: as much as 45 minutes may be required in a gas oven. Cut into bars when cool. These may be stored in cake tins for a day or two.
