1 C raisins
1 C water
1/2 C vegetable oil
1 C sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 3/4 C flour, sifted
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp allspice
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 C walnuts
2 Tbsp powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Grease a 9 X 13 baking pan.
Combine raisins and water, bring to boil, then remove from heat. Stir in oil and allow to cool.
Stir in sugar and egg.
Sift flour, salt, soda, allspice, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg and add to wet mixture.
Stir in walnuts.
Pour into prepared pan.
Bake for 12 minutes.
Cool, dust with powdered sugar.
Cut into bars.
