2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
3 tsps baking powder
1-1/2 tsps apple-pie spice
1 tsp salt
1/4 cut firmly packed brown sugar
1 can (1 lb) whole berry cranberry sauce
1 egg
1/4 cup shortening, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder, applie-pie spice and salt into large bowl; stir in brown sugar.

Drain cranberry sauce; measure 1 cup (save remaining sauce and liquid to serve later). Beat egg in small bowl, stir in measured cranberry sauce and melted shortening. All all at once to dry ingredients; stir lightly until evenly moist. Spoon into 12 greased large muffin pan cups.

Bake in hot oven (400º) 20 minutes or until golden-brown.
