Combine: beat well in a separate bowl
1 package yeast
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup flour
1 tablespoon sugar

Combine and beat well
2 cups water
1/2 cup dry milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons shortening
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 cup rye flour
1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons molasses
1/2 cup cornmeal (Optional Schoenherr version)

Beat well add yeast mixture and then add 4 to 5 cups bread flour.

!. Knead until texture is elastic
2. place in greased bowl and flip over then cover.
3. Rise for 1 1/2 hours
4. Punch down and let rest for 10 minutes
5. Cut in half
6. Shape loaves
7. Place in grease pan and let rise for 45 minutes.
8. Bake at 350º for 30 to 35 minutes.
