Pastry crust for 9-inch pie crust
36 Ritz Crackers coarsely broken [about 1 3/4 cups}
2 cups sugar
2 t cream of tartar
2 T butter
1/2 t ground cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Place cracker crumbs in prepared pie crust
Heat water,sugar,and cream of tartar to a boil in saucepan over high heat for 15 min .
Pour syrup over cracker crumbs , dot with margarine or butter , sprinkle with cinnamon
Cut strips out of 2nd pie crust , place over pie in criss-cross pattern [I sprinkle white sugar over top halfway through cooking }
Bake at 425 F for 30 to 35 min.
