2 cups Flour
1 1/2 cups Sugar
1/2 Cup Shortening
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
pinch of salt

Put in greased pan and work like pastry until mealy.
Take out handful for topping.

to remainder add:
1 egg
1 Cup sour milk (to sour milk add one tsp of vinegar to the milk)
1 tsp. soda

Sprinkle topping on and then,
bake in about 8 X 12 pan at 375 degrees for 35 Min.

I normally double this recipe for a thicker cake and increase cook time to approximately 1 hour @ 375
