Cheeseburger Chowder Recipe

2 pounds ground beef
1 medium onion thinly diced
3-4 Red Potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. Beef Boullion
4 Tbsp. Flour
2 1/2 Cups Milk
3 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese I use a mixture of mild and sharp
Directions:

In large saucepan brown ground beef and onions until cooked through, drain off grease,
Add potatoes, salt and beef Boullion
Cover with enough water to completely cover potatoes
bring to a boil, cover and simmer 15-20 minutes until potatoes are fork tender.
In a small bowl mix flour and 1/2 Cup of the milk until smooth. Add a few tablespoons of hot broth from chowder to this mixture until blended in, add flour mixture to beef and potatoes, bring to a boil, cook 1-2 minutes stirring continually until thickened and bubbly.
Stir in remaining milk and heat through.
Add cheese and stir until melted
You need to stir continually or it will burn quickly, remove from heat as soon as all cheese is melted.

I usually add an extra cup of cheese as we like it cheesy, and use whatever combination of cheddar cheeses I have in the frig. We love this with a mixture of sharp and mild cheddar cheese.
