2 egg whites
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
6 ounces of chocolate chips (the mini bits are best)
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Beat egg whites and salt until stiff peaks form. Gradually add sugar.
Fold in choolate chips and nuts

Drop by teaspoonful on parchment paper or greased cookie sheet.
Place in hot oven, turn off heat, and leave one hour without opening oven door.
Remove from. cookie sheet and store with waxed paper between layers in airtight container until served.

Finely shredded coconut, butterscotch chips or crushed peppermints can be substituted as wished.
