1 lb (454g) corned beef
3 carrots
1 onion
1/2 turnip
3 potatoes
1 head of cabbage

Directions:
Directions:
1.Place meat in large pot and cover with cold water.
2. Turn on high and bring to a boil.
3. Reduce heat and simmer, covered for 3-4 hours or until meat is tender.
4. Cut vegetables into large pieces.
5. After 2 hours of the meat being cooked, skim off fat and add carrots, onions, and turnip. Cover and cook with meat.
6. During the last hour, add potatoes and cabbage, and continue cooking until potatoes are tender.
7. Place meat on large platter. Place vegetables around meat and serve.
