Baby Back Ribs

SAUCE;
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1/2 cup water
1 onion chopped
butter

Directions:
Directions:
1. Saute onions in butter.
2. Add ketchup, chili sauce, barbecue sauce, and water simmer for 1/2 hours.
3. Preheat oven to 450º
4. Place ribs, meaty side down, in shallow roasting pan covered with foil. Roast in a very hot oven for 30 minutes
5. Turn ribs meaty side up
6. Reduce over oven temperature to 350º
7. Continue roasting ribs for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours depending on size of ribs. I usually bake them for 1 hour
8. Last half hour pour sauce on top and put mores sauce on as needed.

I have been making this recipe for over 40 years they are delicious. I even like them better then on the grille. This recipe came for "Better Homes and Gardens Meat Cookbook" copyright 1969!
