1 cup margarine
2 ¼ cup firm packed brown sugar
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup white karo syrup

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Cook to 236-238 degrees (firm ball stage) stir until sugar dissolves and then occasionally until firm ball stage is reached. Pour into a buttered 9x9 pan, let cool. Tear squares of waxed paper put cool squares of caramels in the waxed paper and twist lightly.
