1 (6 to 8 lb.) fully cooked, shank-end half ham
whole cloves (optional)
1 to 2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar, divided
1/2 c. yellow or Dijon mustard
sliced pineapple (optional)
cherries (optional)
1/2 can Coca-Cola Classic©, or any non-diet soda

Preheat oven to 350º. Line a roasting pan with foil for wrapping loosely around ham. Place ham in roasting pan.
Score ham in crosshatch pattern, and stud with cloves, if desired. Mix brown sugar with mustard to form a thick paste; smear over entire ham. Add pineapple slices, if desired, and using a toothpick, secure a cherry in center of each slice.
Pour cola over ham, and wrap loosely with foil. Bake 18 minutes per pound, or until center of ham reaches 140º on instant-read thermometer, basting occasionally.
Remove ham to cutting board, and cool slightly before slicing.
