2 gallons of large cucumbers
2 c lime juice
81/2 quarts water
1 c vinegar
1 bottle red food color
1 tbs alum
2 c water
2 c vinegar
8 sticks cinnamon
1 package of red hots

Directions:
Directions:
peel slice and core cucumbers in to rings soak in lime juice and 81/2 quarts of water 24 hours.drain rinse let sit in ice water 3 hours .
combine 1 c vinegar 1 bottle red color ,1 tbs alum and water to cover in lager pot bring to boil simmer for 2 hours drain off
in another pot heat 2 c vinegar and sugar,cinnamon,red hots pour over rings let sit over night.
for 2 days reheat the syrup and pour over rings again and let stand.
on day 3 pack rings into canning jars heat syrup again pour over rings in jars
seal jars
