2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 C coarsely chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 jars coarsely chopped tomatoes: 2 cans (14 1/2 oz each)
I/2 jar tomato sauce: 1/2 pinto or 1 8oz can
2 cans (16oz) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 green pepper, coarsely chopped
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. white pepper
1 T chili powder, to taste
cayenne pepper, to taste
shredded cheddar cheese
sour cream
chopped green onions

Directions:
Directions:
In a skillet over medium heat, crumble and brown ground beef with onion. Add garlic and cook for an additional two minutes, drain fat.
Combine beef mixture, tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans, bell pepper, salt, pepper, chili powder and cayenne in slow cooker and stir well.
Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours
Top individual servings with cheddar cheese, sour cream and green onions.
