4 to 4 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
2 pkg. yeast
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. warm milk
1/2 c. warm water
1/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar, undissolved yeast, and salt.Gradually add warm milk, warm water, and butter to dry ingredients; beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer, scraping bowl occasionally. Add egg and 1/2 cup flour, beat 2 minutes at high speed. With spoon, stir in enough remaining flour to make soft dough. Grease top; cover tightly and let rise until doubled. Punch dough down, Shape as desired.
Place rolls on greased baking sheets, cover, let rise until doubled, about 20 to 40 minutes.Bake at 375º for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden. Butter tops of buns while hot.
