2 cups sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1/4 salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together sugar, cocoa and salt. Add milk and whisk until smooth. Cook on medium/low heat until boiling. Boil for 1 minute until smooth. Add vanilla and butter stir until butter melts. Serve over ice cream.

Sunday nights were ice creme nights. Dad was home and sometimes Mom would make us this sauce. My dad called it chocolate dope and it made a bowl of ice cream and Sunday evenings special.
