2 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp pepper
1 egg- well beaten
3 T melted shortening
2/3 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:

Combine dry ingredients. Add egg, shortening & milk.. It will make a moist stiff batter

Drop by tsp. into boiling liquid (bean soup, chicken & broth, etc.)
Reduce heat, cover very closely & cook 18 minutes do not peek!

These will be very fluffy.
